What You’ll Do
As our Generator Engineer, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day generator servicing and support activities:
- Perform PPM servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of customer-owned standby diesel generators
- Carry out basic mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis
- Identify minor remedial works or upgrade recommendations
- Conduct load bank testing and on-load testing
- Carry out fuel sampling and polishing
- Support senior engineers on installations, commissioning, and upgrade projects
- Take part in the callout rota for emergency support
Where You’ll Work
You’ll be based out of our Fareham HQ, returning regularly for stock, workshop activities, and team collaboration.
Most of your work will be at customer sites across Hampshire and the South Coast, with occasional travel further afield.
Applicants must live within a commutable distance to Fareham – this is not a remote or regionally based position.
What You’ll Bring
- Level 3 qualification or recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Proven hands-on experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering role
- 18th Edition (BS7671) certification would be a benefit
- Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain police vetting is essential
