As our Generator Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role:

  • Servicing, repairing, and maintaining standby diesel generators predominantly across the South Coast
  • Diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical issues with confidence
  • Performing load bank testing, fuel testing, and polishing procedures
  • Conducting site surveys and inspections of generators and associated equipment
  • Assisting in installation and commissioning of standby power equipment
  • Sharing your expertise through job reports and mentoring apprentices

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • A recognised Mechanical/Engineering apprenticeship or level 3 qualification in a relevant field or proven demonstrable experience as a field service diesel generator engineer in a similar role
  • 18th edition Electrical installations BS7671 certification
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain police vetting are essential
  • ECS/CSCS Card
  • Experience in UPS equipment maintenance a plus
  • Bonus points for familiarity with high-voltage systems!
